My work explores the human figure as both a physical form and a language of emotion. Through gesture, anatomy, movement, and expression, I seek to capture the stories that exist within the body. Moments of tension, vulnerability, strength, uncertainty, and connection.

I am drawn to the figure because it communicates before words ever do. A change in posture, the direction of a hand, or the tension within a pose can reveal something deeply human. My work focuses on these subtle physical gestures and the emotions they carry, using the body as a way to examine experiences that are shared across everyday life.

Influenced by both the study of anatomy and the expressive possibilities of figurative art, I approach each figure as more than an anatomical study. I want the viewer to sense that there is a person behind the form, with an emotion, a thought, or a story unfolding in that moment. The accuracy of the body matters to me, but so does what the body is saying.

Ultimately, my work is an exploration of what it means to be human. I use the figure to bring attention to the emotions we often experience but cannot easily articulate, creating images that invite the viewer to recognize something of themselves within another person.
